Pechadur wyf da gŵyr fy Nuw

(Pechadur archolledig)
1,2,(3),4.
Pechadur wyf, da gŵyr fy Nuw,
Llawn o archollion o bob rhyw,
  Yn byw mewn eisieu gwaed y groes
  Bob mynyd awr
      o'r dydd a'r nos!

Yma, fy Arglwydd, wrth dy groes,
Y ceir fy enaid ddydd a nos,
  A than ddyferion pur dy waed
  Yn dysgwyl beunydd am iachâd.

Gweddio'r wyf, och'neidio'n brudd,
Rhyfela'n deg am gael y dydd;
  Rho deimlo rhîn
      dy aberth mawr
  Yn tynu meichiau oll i lawr.

O edrych, Arglwydd, 'nawr yn rhad
Ar un sy'n gorwedd wrth dy draed;
  A dywed, "Yn dy waed bydd fyw!"
  A molaf byth dy enw gwiw.

O Arglwydd! cofia'th angeu drud,
A'th boenau mawrion yn y byd;
  A dadleu 'rhai'n âg uchel lef
  Dros f'enaid tlawd yn nghanol nef.

Llama fel hŷdd tros fryniau pell,
Cyflawna'r addewidion gwell;
  O galw'd etholedig hâd,
  I brofi rhagorfreintiau'th waed.

Ti fuost farw (rhyfedd yw)
Er mwyn dy elynion i gael byw;
  Derbyn i'th gôl, a rho ryddhâd
  I'r sawl a brynaist â dy waed.

Fe gaiff dy enw anwyl glod,
Pan ddarffo i'r nef a'r ddaear fod,
  Am achub un mor wael ei lun,
  Na all'sai ei achub ond dy hun.

'Rwy'n dewis Iesu a'i farwol glwy',
Yn Frawd a Phrïod imi mwy;
  Ef yn Arweinydd, ef yn Ben,
  I'm dwyn i mewn i'r nefoedd wen.

Ei ganmawl bellach wnaf o hyd,
Er maint o boenau
    sy'n y byd;
  Dechreuais gân
      a bery'n hwy,
  Nag y ceir diwedd arni mwy.

Gwn mai rhinweddol yw dy waed
I bledio'm hawl o flaen y Tad,
  A chlirio ffordd at orsedd gras,
  A blotio 'meiau mwya' i maes.

Maddeuaist gan'waith,
    maddeu hyn,
O Arglwydd càna fi eto'n wyn;
  Rho i mi dyst, f'anwylyd cu,
  I'm dirio yn y nefoedd fry.

O! edrych, Arglwydd! 'nawr yn rhad,

(A wounded sinner)

I am a sinner, my God knows well,
Full of wounds of every kind,
  Living in need of the blood of the cross
  Every single moment
      of the day and the night!

Here, my Lord, at thy cross,
Is found my soul day and night,
  And under pure drops of thy blood
  Hoping daily for wholeness.

Praying am I, groaning earnestly,
Battling fairly to gain the day;
  Grant the feeling of the merit
      of thy great sacrifice
  Pulling all sureties down.

O look, Lord, now freely
On one who is lying at thy feet;
  And saying, "In thy blood one shall live!"
  And I will praise forever thy worthy name.

(A full Saviour in the face of every need)

A sinner I am, my God well knows,
Full of wounds of every kind,
  Living in need of the blood of the cross
  Every single moment
      of the day and the night.

O Lord, remember thy costly death,
And thy great pains in the world;
  And plead these with a loud voice
  For my poor soul in the middle of heaven.

Leap like a hart across distant hills,
Fulfil the better promises;
  O call thy chosen seed,
  To experience the privileges of thy blood.

Thou hast died (it is amazing)
In order for thy enemies to get to live;
  Receive to thy breast, and give freedom
  To those thou hast bought with thy blood!

Thy beloved name will get praise,
When heaven and the earth shall cease to be,
  For saving one of so poor a condition,
  Whom none could save but thou thyself.

I am choosing Jesus and his mortal wound,
As Brother and Spouse for me evermore;
  He as Guide, he as Head,
  To lead me into the bright heavens.

Extol him henceforth I shall always do,
Despite the extent of pains
    that are in the world;
  I began a song
      which shall continue longer,
  Than having any end to it any more.

(Confidence in the Advocate)

I am a sinner, my God knows well,
Full of wounds of every kind,
  Living in need of the blood of the cross
  Every single moment
      of the day and the night!

Amidst a host of distresses,
And myriads of black griefs,
  Let me put the weight of my head
  To lie on thy blessed breast.

O look, Lord, now graciously,
On one who is lying at thy feet!
  And saying, "In thy blood one shall live!"
  And I will praise forever thy worthy name.

I know there is merit in thy blood
To plead my right before the Father,
  And to clear a way to the throne of grace,
  And blot my greatest faults out.

Thou didst forgive a hundred times,
    forgive these,
O Lord bleach me white;
  Give me a witness, my dear Lord,
  To clear me in heaven above.

Oh remember me before the Father,
And show him the value of thy blood;
  Oh argue now in the midst of heaven
  Thou gavest thy life in my place.

O keep me in memory every hour,
In the centre of heaven interceding now,
  Bring my soul in full letters
  Before the throne very faithfully.

Do not let sin henceforth give me a wound,
Nor the fear of death grieve me any more;
  Make me very familiar always
  With the paths on yonder
      side of the world.

Let me spend all my days
To look on thy countenance;
  Delight my lifespan from hour to hour
  To love my great Advocate.

Oh remember me when I am in the grave,
And collect my dust up in peace;
  Oh own me in the judgment to come,
  And place me at thy right hand!

A sinner am I, well knows my God,
Full of wounds of every kind,
  Living in need of
    the blood of the cross
  Every minute of the day and night.

One look upon my wounded condition,
Is an intense reason to mourn;
  But though so black, my soul, sing!
  There is a means to
      wash the filthy clean.

Thus I am singing many a time
When the groans of the Garden
     come to my memory,
  His death turns my cry
  Into song in the sight of Calvary.

In the midst of captive straits,
And myriads of vast griefs,
  Let me lay the weight of my head
  To rest on thy blessed bosom.
